Mid Helix

A mid helix piercing is placed through the outer rim of the ear, approximately halfway up the cartilage. It's one of the most popular cartilage piercings, offering a clean, versatile look that works beautifully on its own or as part of a carefully curated ear.

Location

  • The outer cartilage of the ear.

  • Positioned midway along the helix (outer rim).

  • Can be worn as a single, double or triple helix, depending on your anatomy and desired style.

Tissue Type

  • Cartilage.

Healing

  • Initial healing: 8–12 weeks.

  • Full healing: 6–12 months.

Pain Level

  • ★★★☆☆

  • Slightly more noticeable than a lobe piercing due to the cartilage, but generally well tolerated by most clients.

Stacked Lobes

A stacked lobe is a modern take on the traditional lobe piercing. Rather than placing piercings in a straight line, additional piercings are carefully positioned above or beside an existing lobe piercing to create a layered, curated look that is completely unique to you.

Location

  • The soft lower section of the ear.

  • Positioned above or slightly offset from an existing lobe piercing.

  • Placement is tailored to your individual ear anatomy and desired aesthetic.

Tissue Type

  • Soft tissue (non-cartilage).

Healing

  • Initial healing: 6–8 weeks.

  • Full healing: 3–6 months.

Pain Level

  • ★☆☆☆☆

  • Similar to a standard lobe piercing, as it passes through soft tissue rather than cartilage.

Helix/Flat

Helix and Flat piercings are among the most popular cartilage piercings, offering endless possibilities for creating a beautifully curated ear. Whether you prefer a subtle, minimalist look or a statement arrangement, these piercings can be tailored to complement your unique anatomy and personal style.

Location

  • Helix: Placed through the outer rim of the upper ear cartilage.

  • Flat: Positioned on the broad, flat area of cartilage between the helix and the inner folds of the ear.

  • Can be worn individually or combined to create a balanced, curated ear.

Tissue Type

  • Cartilage.

Healing

  • Initial healing: 8–12 weeks.

  • Full healing: 6–12 months.

Pain Level

  • ★★★☆☆

  • A moderate level of discomfort is expected due to the cartilage, although most clients find the procedure quick and very manageable.
