BOOKINGS & CONSULTATIONS
Appointments can be booked online, by phone or in person at the clinic. Some treatments require a consultation prior to treatment to ensure suitability and to discuss your individual needs.
For laser and IPL treatments, a consultation and patch test must be completed before any treatment sessions can take place. This allows us to assess your skin type, review your medical history and ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate.
Clients may also be required to complete a medical questionnaire before certain treatments.
Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrival may result in reduced treatment time or the appointment needing to be rescheduled.
Appointments may be moved once with at least 48 hours notice. After an appointment has been moved once, the deposit cannot be transferred again and a new deposit will be required.
While appointment reminders are sent via email and text message, it remains the client's responsibility to attend their scheduled appointment.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We operate a strict cancellation policy to protect appointment availability for all clients.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we require a minimum of 48 hours notice.
Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice may incur a £40 cancellation fee.
Failure to attend an appointment without notice may also result in a cancellation charge and future bookings requiring a deposit.
Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may result in restrictions on future bookings.
Emails received outside of business hours, including weekends, will be processed on the next working day and cancellation notice periods will be calculated from that time.
TREATMENT INFORMATION
Results from treatments can vary between individuals depending on factors such as skin type, medical history and adherence to aftercare advice.
Our practitioners will always assess your suitability for treatment and reserve the right to refuse or postpone treatment if it is not considered safe or appropriate.
Clients must provide accurate and complete medical information prior to treatment. Failure to disclose relevant medical conditions or medications may affect treatment suitability and results.
Aftercare advice must be followed carefully to achieve the best results and minimise the risk of complications.
Late Arrival Policy
If you arrive late for your appointment, your treatment time may be reduced to avoid affecting other clients. In some cases, the appointment may need to be rescheduled and the cancellation policy may apply.
DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS
Some treatments may require a deposit at the time of booking in order to secure your appointment. Deposits are deducted from the total cost of your treatment on the day of your appointment.
Deposits are non-refundable if an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours notice. If sufficient notice is provided, the deposit may be transferred to a new appointment.
Failure to attend an appointment without notice will result in the loss of the deposit and may require a deposit to be paid in advance for all future bookings.
Full payment for treatments is due at the time of your appointment unless a course of treatments or alternative payment arrangement has been agreed in advance.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable unless the appointment is rescheduled with at least 48 hours notice.
PATCH TESTS FOR LASER & IPL TREATMENTS
A patch test and consultation are required before undergoing any laser or IPL treatment at Absolute Skin. This is an essential safety step to ensure the treatment is suitable for your skin type and to assess how your skin responds to the laser.
During the consultation, we will review your medical history, discuss the treatment process and answer any questions you may have. A small test patch will then be carried out on the treatment area.
Patch tests must usually be completed at least 24–48 hours before the first treatment session. This allows sufficient time to check for any unexpected skin reactions.
If there are any changes to your medical history, medications, skin condition or sun exposure between the patch test and your treatment appointment, please inform the clinic as a new patch test may be required for safety reasons.
